There are many different reasons to drink organic tea or herbal teas; more antioxidants for example. Some types of organic tea include green tea, white tea and black tea; each type has different health benefits.

Green Tea

Organic green tea has been enjoyed in Asian countries and thought of as healing in nature for around 4,000 years. Recent medical research shows that these health benefits are valid, and in fact, green tea positively affects almost every organ in the human body. According to sevencups.com, antioxidants in green tea help to prevent toxins that build up from unnecessary oxygen. Green tea also helps to prevent cancer by blocking compounds with polyphenols. Some cancers that may be prevented are stomach, colon, lung and breast. If those aren’t enough qualities to make you want to run out and buy some green tea, how about the blood pressure reduction or cholesterol reduction powers green tea holds? Aiding in viral infections, such as the flu or a cold, green tea is an organic tea that has numerous other health benefits.

White Tea

White tea has many of the same health benefits that green tea has but studies are beginning to discover that white tea may have more. This is due to the fact that white tea is the least processed organic tea. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, which strips away the beneficial nutrients. White tea is derived from the immature leaves that haven't budded all the way. According to Rhonda Parkinson, the tea takes its name from the silver fuzz that still covers the bud, which turns white when the tea is dried. Like green tea, organic white tea helps to build the immune system in fighting off viral and bacterial infections and helps prevent tooth decay and cavities. White tea may be more expensive than other types of organic tea.

Black Tea

Organic black tea has very similar health qualities as green and white teas, although studies show there may be slightly less because of the processing that black tea undergoes. Black tea is mainly known for its ability to open blood vessels and lessen the chance of heart attack or stroke.
